In a major boost for Rangers, Ryan Kent could return from injury at Tranmere Rovers this weekend.
Kent has been absent from training galleries during the early stages of pre-season, with some supporters fearing it was a sign that he’s set to leave Ibrox.

However, earlier this week, Stevie Clifford of Four Lads Had a Dream rubbished exit talk on the Heart & Hand Daily Update, asserting that Kent simply had a niggle and had been training inside under guidance from the club’s physios.
And now the winger has returned to pitch work ahead of Saturday’s trip to Tranmere.
He shared a video on his Instagram story on Thursday afternoon that showed him beating James Tavernier down the left flank during a training match.
It’s unlikely that he’d be permitted to take part in such a match if he wasn’t yet 100% over his niggle, so there’s a good chance that he’ll be able to return to the squad for the Gers’ second pre-season clash.

Tranmere finished seventh in EFL League Two last season, so it’s the kind of standard of opposition that Kent should be able to ease himself back in against.
Given that he scored 13 goals and notched 15 assists in all competitions last season, it’s crucial that he’s firing on all cylinders before the Premiership campaign and Champions League qualifiers get underway.
Kent isn’t the only Rangers star returning from injury at a good time, with a fan favourite also ready to be thrown back into match action.
