The Daily Record reports that Rangers have received a considerable boost ahead of their Europa League qualification campaign.
Yesterday’s Scottish Cup final result, confirmed the three Scottish teams taking part in the qualifying process.
Rangers, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen.
All three sides will start in the first round of qualifying, and will all be seeded.
A further boost has been handed to the Gers and the Dons, though, by virtue of other results across Europe.
Unlike Killie, both clubs will now be seeded for the second round, ensuring they cannot face some of the biggest names also involved at that stage.
That’s because Rangers’ UEFA co-efficient has increased to 5.250 after reaching the group stages in 2018/19.
Wolves, AZ Alkmaar, and Hapoel Beer Sheva are among the sides Steven Gerrard won’t need to worry about at that stage.

However, it’s set to be a free-for-all after that point. Should the Gers make it to the third stage of qualification, they will be unseeded and it will come down to the luck of the draw.
At that stage, the likes of Espanyol, who finished seventh in La Liga or Feyenoord, who came third in the Eredivisie, are potential opponents.
Last season, the Gers defeated Skhupi, Osijek, Maribor and Ufa en route to the group stages.
