Rangers manager Michael Beale has come under pressure since losing to Celtic in the Old Firm derby, and while there are no credible reports that the Gers would actually sack him, there is now speculation that the Ibrox club are looking at Pascal Jansen as a potential replacement.

While Rangers are currently winning matches, they have not been particularly convincing, especially in the Scottish Premiership.

Michael Beale not doing particularly well at Rangers

Rangers are already four points behind leaders and defending champions Celtic in third place in the Scottish Premiership table.

The Gers suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of Celtic at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby on September 3.

Since then, Rangers have won against St. Johnstone, Real Betis and Motherwell.

Results are good, but performances should be better.

There have been murmurs of discontent over Michael Beale at Rangers, but there has not been anything concrete so far.

Rangers linked with AZ manager Pascal Jansen

TEAMtalk’s report about Rangers looking at Pascal Jansen does not say that the Gers are planning to sack Beale.

The report has noted that the Scottish Premiership giants are “keeping a close watch on” Jansen as a potential replacement for the former Queens Park Rangers manager.

Everton and Crystal Palace are also keeping tabs on the 50-year-old Dutchman, according to the report.

Jansen is in charge of AZ at the moment and has a 1.85 points per match record as manager.

Of the 276 matches he has been in charge of so far in his career, Jansen has won 155, drawn 46 and lost 75.

It was only in 2020 when Jansen got his first job in first-team football management at AZ after working as a coach and manager in youth football.
