Transfermarkt ranks ‘100 most valuable clubs in UK’

Online football portal Transfermarkt is one of the beautiful game’s most comprehensive online databases.

The German-based website which hosts a number of live statistics and contact information for some of the game’s biggest players is an important resource in the professional game.

Whilst Transfermarkt’s method of player valuations is controversial and not entirely scientific, it’s designed to give a basic insight into the value of players across the footballing spectrum.

And it’s with this method that Transfermarkt have ranked the ‘top 100 most valuable clubs’ in British football.

Using a number of metrics to value British football’s biggest clubs, the list ranks from lowly Tranmere Rovers in 100th place (£3.9m) to Manchester City in 1st (£1.26bn).
