Rangers gave a big hint about the inclusion of one scarcely seen player as the club previewed the trip to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership this weekend.
Swiss striker Cedric Itten has found chances at a premium since joining the Gers in the summer but the robust forward has impressed when given the chance.

As Rangers prepare to face the Steelmen this weekend, Ced the Ted was sent out to address the media in a move which more often than not signals the player’s involvement.
However, Cedric was coy on his potential involvement as the orthodox number 9 also claimed he is open to being tried out in different positions.
“It is important only to focus only on the next game as we play almost every three days. All the players are only focused on the next match,” said Itten [Rangers].
“I’m always looking forward to every game and hopefully I can get another against Motherwell again on Sunday.
“I think I can play in all of the forward positions, I have played more as a number nine but happy to learn and play in different forward positions.”
Itten, 24, has only made three league starts since his £2.5m transfer to Rangers from FC St. Gallen in the summer [Scottish Sun].
Whilst both of these matches have been against Kilmarnock, Itten has scored all three of his league goals against Motherwell this season.

Appearing from the bench in September, Itten opened his Rangers account with a deadly double against Well and he rescued the club at Ibrox with the second goal in the 3-1 win over the Lanarkshire club in December.
With Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent both likely to start, could Itten replace an on-form attacker on the right-hand side of the attack?
