Ahead of Rangers’ trip to Dens Park on Saturday afternoon to take on Dundee in the Premiership, we’ve put together a Gers Predicted XI.

Following a squad update on Friday afternoon, it’s known that the Gers are without Filip Helander, Ryan Jack and Ryan Kent. Summer signing Nnamdi Ofoborh is also still out of contention while the club attempts to get to the bottom of a possible heart problem.

However, Steven Gerrard still has a strong squad to pick from for the fixture against the bottom-of-the-table Dark Blues, who are missing a key man of their own.

After fielding a slightly weakened side for the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final against Livingston on Wednesday night and with tough assignments against Sparta Prague and Hibernian looming, the manager is likely to make a host of changes.

The first should come between the sticks, with Allan McGregor coming in for Jon McLaughlin.

Then, there could be as many as three personnel changes in defence to make it the same back four that took on Motherwell at Ibrox last weekend.

James Tavernier and Borna Barisic could replace understudies Nathan Patterson and Calvin Bassey while Jack Simpson could partner Connor Goldson, with Leon Balogun given a rest before the trip to the Czech Republic.

In midfield, Glen Kamara should continue against his old club and Steven Davis should return, while there could be a first Rangers start for Juninho Bacuna.

Picking that midfield three would allow Joe Aribo to be rested for the first time this season in the league and would see John Lundstram drop to the bench.

Finally, at the top end of the pitch, there should be a start for the creative Ianis Hagi after his excellent cameo against Livi, while Fashion Sakala could provide pace on the other side, with Alfredo Morelos leading the line.

Kemar Roofe and Scott Wright would then drop to the bench.
