Kemar Roofe had his goal ruled out for Cyriel Dessers’s contentious foul on Gustaf Lagerbielke.

It was a really controversial decision that has baffled many.

Not many Rangers players were at their best against Celtic, but one Ibrox star who could not have done any better was Jack Butland.

Butland was one of the best players on the pitch and earned the praise of Celtic manager Brenan Rodgers, who described him as “really good” after the game.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper, who joined Rangers in the summer transfer window as a free agent, has now broken his silence on social media.

As you can see below, Butland has sent a message to the Rangers fans.

The defeat in the Old Firm derby means that Rangers are now fourth in the Scottish Premiership table with six points from four matches.

The Gers are four points behind leaders and defenders champions Celtic.

After the international break, Rangers will take on St. Johnstone away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
