Rangers plan to go extra mile for released Academy players

Rangers are set to release no fewer than five academy players come to the end of the season.
It’s a challenging time for any young player being released, but the club has committed to helping them in their next step.
As the players leave, they will take with them a special presentation. In it, it breaks down their attributes, contains videos clips and basically pulls together a unique file on each player. It’s a classy touch from the club.

You have got to commend Rangers for this. Whilst these Academy players have unfortunately been deemed not good enough to make the grade at Ibrox, they could go on to make it elsewhere.
Rangers might even regret letting them go. But this decision has clearly been made in the interests of all parties, and the club has done it responsibly.
The five players set to be released are Kyle Bradley, Myles Beerman, Liam Burt, Jay Mack and Scott Gray.

Myles Beerman made a first team breakthrough in 2017.

Perhaps the most recognisable name on the list is Myles Beerman, who of course mate his debut under Pedro Caixinha. He is now a full Malta international.
The likes of Scott Gray hinted at their departure on social media, whilst Bradley, Burt and Mack will go with the club’s best wishes.
