Rangers have paid tribute to club legend and ambassador Richard Gough on his 57th birthday.
The Ibrox club will forever be indebted to the contribution made by Gough during the Nine in a Row era.
The big centre half captained the club through some of the most successful years in Rangers history.

And just as Rangers and Rangers fans alike are indebted to Gough, he too is indebted to the club. The Rangers stalwart has become part of the fabric of Ibrox over the decades.
Joining Rangers from Spurs in 1987, Gough became the club’s first ever transfer valued at over a million pound. And it’s arguably amongst the best million Rangers have ever spent.
Gough would go on to play over 350 times for the club, winning a total of 18 trophies. Nine of those were league titles – every one of the legendary Nine in a Row run.
A captain, leader and outstanding defender, Gough became a mainstay at Ibrox for years. And it is at Ibrox he remains in his capacity as a club ambassador.

Happy birthday Richard Gough, a true Rangers legend.

And speaking of Rangers captains, Gough has said he sees shades of himself in the man currently wearing the Rangers armband [originally Heart & Hand].
