Rangers are on the hunt for a new manager after sacking Michael Beale, and one of the reported candidates for the job at Ibrox is Chris Wilder.

Chris Wilder is one of the best managers available at the moment, and Rangers are reportedly interested in securing his services.

Rangers linked with Chris Wilder

According to Glasgow World, Rangers are “interested in speaking” to Wilder, who is without a managerial job at the moment.

The report has added that Rangers also want to hold talks with former Gers defender Kevin Muscat, who is now in charge of Yokohama F. Marinos.

Glasgow World has added that Wilder “is an avid fan of Scottish football and carries an in-depth knowledge of the league”.

The 56-year-old manager loves Scottish football and knows a lot about the game in the country, according to the report.

My view: Chris Wilder would be brilliant for Rangers

In my opinion, Chris Wilder would be a brilliant managerial appointment for Rangers.

I think that Wilder would make Rangers a better team and would be able to make an immediate impact at the Gers.

Wilder is a very experienced manager who has been in charge of major clubs such as Sheffield United, Middlesbrough and Watford.

The 56-year-old took Sheffield United from League One to the Premier League.

Former England manager Steve McClaren described Wilder as “phenomenal” in The Star in March 2020.

Wilder knows how to get success at teams quickly and does not need a lot of time or money to turn things around.

Rangers do have a very good squad.

What the Gers need is a manager like Wilder who would be able to get the best out of the players.
