According to Goal, Filip Helander has agreed to sign for Rangers.
A wide range of potential transfer fees have been suggested, with a fee of up to six million euros even suggested by one journalist.
The 26-year-old Sweden international is currently with Serie A side Bologna. However, their Sporting Director admits a transfer to Rangers could soon be finalised [Daily Record].
If Helander does become a Ger, he will be the fourth centre-back in the first team squad.
He would join Connor Goldson, Nikola Katic and a fellow new arrival, George Edmundson.

Therefore, given this move for Helander is likely to have been in the pipeline for some time, it now looks clear that a move for Gerrard’s former teammate, Martin Skrtel, was never on.
The 34-year-old has been linked with a move to Ibrox for some time. Speculation intensified recently, though, when the former Slovakian international left Fenerbahce after failing to agree a new deal.
Just last month, the Daily Record reported that Rangers had held positive initial discussions with Skrtel and that he was set to fly to Glasgow for face-to-face talks the following week.
However, it seems as though the interest was greatly exaggerated. Gerrard has plucked for a defender in his prime rather than the experienced but perhaps fading ex-Liverpool man.
