Rangers midfielder Bongani Zungu says he’s loving life at Ibrox and is growing in confidence ahead of a potential rare start against St Mirren [Herald].
Zungu has made a total of nine appearances for the Gers since signing on loan from Amiens at the start of October.

Five of those appearances have come in the Premiership, but they were all as a substitute, with the likes of Steven Davis and Ryan Jack regularly preferred in the deeper-lying midfield role.
However, Davis may be rested on Wednesday, given that he’s made three consecutive starts and the Old Firm is coming up at the weekend, while Jack is at best doubtful for the contest due to injury.
With Steven Gerrard already suggesting that he will make changes to his side [PA], Zungu looks likely to come in and the South Africa international is in a positive place ahead of the game.
“It has been awesome,” said Zungu of his time at Ibrox [Herald]. “Everything has been good so far…I am so lucky to play for a team that has a lot of qualities.”
“For me, instead of looking at it as competition, I am really excited as when I get a chance I have a lot of quality around me. That helps with my confidence.
“I am slowly but surely gaining my confidence and getting my form back. It has been clear from the first day what they really want from me and they are really helping me in training. I ask a lot of questions to know and to grow as a player.”

Ahead of a potential first league start, these comments will no doubt excite plenty of supporters.
Zungu still has work to do to win some of the fanbase over, but he has shown glimpses of quality and after a stop-start few months, it seems he’s feeling settled and is ready to kick on.
His praise for the club and the team environment also suggests that if he does shine over the second half of the season, he’ll be keen to make his loan deal permanent ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
Zungu could play alongside a 24-year-old on Wednesday, who wowed supporters during the closing stages of Saturday’s win over Hibernian.
