Rangers boss Michael Beale has been praised by Jim Goodwin in recent times and they could lock horns again very soon.
Back in January, Goodwin – then manager of Aberdeen – heaped praise on Beale.
Goodwin told the Daily Record that he felt that Beale is a ‘good coach’ and was bringing ‘very modern’ ideas to Rangers.
Goodwin even highlighted that many of his close contacts in football raved about Beale’s coaching ideas from a book he wrote.
It was clear that the Irishman was a keen admirer of Beale’s work but he ended up being sacked by Aberdeen before the end of January.
That meant Goodwin and Beale only faced off once, and it ended in a dramatic 3-2 Rangers win, but more meetings could soon be on the horizon.

The Daily Record claim that Goodwin is now in line to become the new Dundee United boss.
Goodwin is understood to be the new frontrunner for the Tannadice job following Liam Fox’s departure earlier this week.
Craig Levein has been heavily linked with a return to Dundee United but it now looks like Goodwin is the man for the job.
That will give Goodwin a return to management just over a month after being ditched by Aberdeen.
If the move does go through, Goodwin would be in line to manage against Beale once again.
Rangers host Dundee United at Ibrox on April 1st – exactly a month today.
Goodwin will hope to get this deal done soon, especially as Dundee United face Aberdeen this weekend.
The prospect of facing his old club in his first game in charge is an enticing one and the coming days will determine whether Goodwin is in charge against the Dons or not.
