When Nathan Young-Coombes signed for Rangers in January of this year, not much was known about the former Chelsea and Crystal Palace youngster.
But sporting a peculiar haircut resembling Sideshow Bob from the Simpsons, a fresh-faced and bushy-haired Young-Coombes is now certainly turning heads at Ibrox.
That said, it’s more about the progress the youngster has been making on the pitch than it is about his distinctive hairdo.
Since Nathan Young-Coombes joined the youth set-up at Ibrox he’s become a central part of it.
Coombes played a role in the ALKASS Cup success last season, whilst he scored the eventual winner in the Scottish FA Youth Cup Final against Celtic.
The striker has carried on that kind of form into this campaign too.
Despite only being 16, Young-Coombes continues to impress against players years his senior.
The energetic forward has played a role in the young Gers’ early success in the UEFA Youth League, scoring a vital goal in the 2-2 draw which sent Rangers through against Young Boys at Firhill.
Young-Coombes went one better when he got the second goal in the 2-0 win over English Conference side Wrexham in the Caramel Wafer Cup, his first of hopefully many goals at Ibrox.

The distinctive forward’s name continues to pop up for the Rangers youth sides and there’s real hope that he can break through and make the grade at Ibrox.
If he can do, the club deserves every credit for unearthing this gem after his spells in London.
