Former Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha has been appointed the manager of Saudi club Al-Shabab FC.
The Portuguese boss has a host of experience in the Middle East and was actually signed for Rangers from Al-Gharafa Sports Club.
According to the AFC, Caixinha signs a two-year deal with the Riyadh club and makes a return to the city 14 years after being an assistant coach at Al Hilal.
Caixinha takes charge at Al Shabab after a semi-successful spell with Mexican club Cruz Azul where he won the Copa MX and Supercopa MX before resigning in September last year.
The Gers flop was in charge at Ibrox between March and October 2017 and overseen one of the most reckless and disastrous spells in the club’s recent history.
Pedro overspent on over-priced foreign players and stripped the club of its British-born playing assets, selling them off for peanuts.
The likes of Eduardo Herrera and Carlos Pena came into the club for substantial fees and on substantial contracts but didn’t come close to returning the investment outlayed.

Caixinha has also had spells as manager of União de Leiria and Nacional in his homeland as well as Mexican side Santos Laguna.
