Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, has addressed the latest goings on across the city, as quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times.
Brendan Rodgers surprisingly upped sticks during the week, opting to join Premier League side Leicester City, rather than seeing through the season at Parkhead.

Since then, Neil Lennon has been appointed as his replacement, on an interim basis.
It’s his second stint as Celtic boss.

He was previously in charge between 2010 and 2014, winning five major trophies, mainly during the Gers’ dark days.
Since then, he has managed Bolton Wanderers and most recently, Hibernian.

“I think it’s a sensible appointment in terms of where Celtic are at, if you want my opinion on it”, said Gerrard, as quoted by the Evening Times.

“He obviously knows the club very well, he has won there before.”
“So I am sure they are pleased he was available to walk straight in and I am sure they are hoping for a seamless transition.”
“Whether that will be the case, we’ll have to wait and see. It’s certainly a sensible decision.”
The disruption caused by Rodgers’ departure certainly looked like creating an opportunity for Rangers.

Celtic were within a few minutes of dropping points in Lennon’s first match in charge, against Hearts, during the week.
However, a late winner from Odsonne Edouard kept their lead at eight points.
The league isn’t the only silverware the two clubs are vying for, though.
The Scottish Cup is still all to play for and the Gers will be hoping their biggest rivals slip up at Easter Road, later on Saturday.
