Following his record-breaking outing in Rotterdam on Thursday evening, Alfredo Morelos has shot up into the top three of the Europa League Player Rankings [UEFA.com].
The striker scored both Gers goals in a 2-2 draw with Feyenoord, taking him to 13 European strikes for the season which is a new record for a player representing a Scottish club.
He’s now scored in four consecutive Europa League matches: away at Young Boys, away at Porto, home against Porto and twice away at Feyenoord.
It’s an incredible effort which has seen him rightly recognised as one of the top performers in the competition.

Labelled a ‘fast riser’ on the official UEFA website, he’s now occupying third place with 7184 points. The only two players currently above him, are Munir of Sevilla in second and Bruno Fernandes of Sporting Lisbon and Portugal, who is on 7757 points.
The company he’s keeping here is just further evidence of his soaring value, with Fernandes rated at a whopping £54m [Transfermarkt].
When you consider the standard of teams in the competition, it’s remarkable that Rangers have a player in the top three.
While the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Roma go unrepresented, a player the Gers signed for a reported £1 million in 2017 [Scottish Sun] has earned his place.
With one final and decisive group game against Young Boys just two weeks away, Morelos might just have his eye on top spot and progression to the knockout stages.
