The News, Portsmouth reports that Ross McCrorie could be in action for Pompey this evening.
The 21-year-old loanee made his debut for the League One outfit against UCD in Dublin last week. Yet, he was absent from the squad when they took on Havant and Waterlooville on Saturday afternoon.

It turns out that’s because he was back in Glasgow over the weekend. Manager, Kenny Jackett, granted the midfielder leave in order to pack up his belongings ahead of his season-long relocation.
It means the player has had a rather stop-start introduction at Portsmouth, with just 45 minutes of playing time under his belt so far.
Therefore, Jackett is said to be considering playing McCrorie in a low-profile fixture against Bognor Regis Town tonight (Tuesday).

Bognor compete in the Isthmian League, and the annual fixture is traditionally used by Pompey to give game time to youngsters and fringe players. However, given the exceptional circumstances, McCrorie could feature.

Either way, the minor setback at the weekend shouldn’t stop the blue nose from being ready for the new season.
Portsmouth have a further four friendlies scheduled after the Bognor tie, before they travel to Shrewsbury to kickstart their EFL campaign on 3 August.
It’s a big season for McCrorie, as he looks to play as many matches as possible to help take his game to another level.
