Rangers loanee Glenn Middleton netted the winner as St Johnstone defeated Hibernian 1-0 at Easter Road in the Premiership on Saturday.
Middleton has had a tough few seasons, falling out of favour at Ibrox and struggling during loan spells at Hibs and Bradford City.

However, he’s settled in well at McDiarmid Park since joining the Saints on loan in January and manager Callum Davidson has already expressed his desire to hang onto him for next season [Scottish Sun].
The Gers loanee scored the goal that secured the Perth side a top-six finish and he netted his second goal for the club in Edinburgh on Saturday afternoon.
Hibs defender Ryan Porteous, who has had a number of run-ins with Rangers players and staff in recent seasons and as a result has been heavily criticised by Bears, was at fault for the goal.
The centre-back dispossessed former Gers winger Michael O’Halloran but then inexplicably passed the ball straight to Middleton, who accepted the gift and finished from just inside the area.

It was a bizarre error from Porteous but a cool finish from Middleton, who is finishing the season strongly.
The 21-year-old is contracted to Rangers until 2023 but it remains to be seen whether or not he will feature for the club again.
In other news, Rangers are reportedly eyeing a move for an in-demand Championship player with ‘enormous ability’.
