Recently departed Rangers loanee Jamie Murphy is already producing the goods for Burton Albion, scoring in a 2-2 draw with AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday evening.
The 30-year-old winger left Ibrox last week in search of game time, joining up with his former Blades boss Nigel Clough at the EFL League One outfit.

He was thrown straight into the starting lineup on Saturday, with teammate John Brayford asserting that he showed ‘flashes’ of excellence in a 1-1 draw with Accrington Stanley [Derbyshire Live].
That was his first competitive start for almost a year and a half, but it’s clear that he showed no ill effects, as he was retained for the trip to AFC Wimbledon just three days later.
Burton took an early lead, before being pinned back in the 16th minute by the hosts.
Then, as the game approached half-time, Murphy had his say.

It was a great way to get off the mark for his new club and Murphy’s first goal since scoring the first of the Gerrard era against FC Shkupi at Ibrox in July 2018.
It wouldn’t prove to be the winner, though, as Clough’s men let their lead slip again in the second half. Murphy was replaced in the 80th minute as the visitors eventually settled for a share of the points.
After two consecutive draws, Burton have slipped to tenth in the league table.
