Rangers loanee Jason Holt has opened up on a disastrous start to the season with St Johnstone, as quoted by the Courier.
The 26-year-old headed out of Ibrox on deadline day, joining the Saints in search of first-team football.

He’s getting that at least, after starting three of the four Premiership matches he’s been eligible for. However, the results have been dire.
Tommy Wright’s men are bottom of the league and remarkably, still winless after nine matches. In the games Holt has featured in to date, they have drawn 1-1 with Aberdeen, lost 1-0 at Motherwell, and slumped to a 2-0 defeat at home to St Mirren.
“The position we’re in isn’t good enough,” he admitted, as quoted by the Courier. “We’re angry and disappointed at that. There are a lot of games still to be played and we need to start putting things right.”
“If we do get a win things can change quickly in football. I’m trying to help them as much as I can. When we cross the white line it’s us as players who need to produce.
“We need to take responsibility.”

Verdict
These are strong words from Holt who is obviously feeling the disappointment as much as anyone, despite only being on loan at McDiarmid Park.
There’s little doubt being with the Saints is something of a step down for him after playing week in week out for Fleetwood Town in the EFL last season. Yet, so far, he’s been unable to turn the tide, which must be a source of frustration.
With his Ibrox contract expiring in the summer [Transfermarkt], it’s a big season for him personally, as he aims to secure himself a new club for 2020/21.
Next up for Holt and co. is a home clash against Hamilton on Saturday afternoon, from which they’ll be desperate to take all three points.
