Rangers loanee James Maxwell scored for Queen of the South on Saturday afternoon in a 1-1 draw at Arbroath.
The 18-year-old left-back is highly thought of at Ibrox and took part in the first team’s winter training camp in Dubai last season.

He was one of three Gers Academy starlets, alongside Josh McPake and Lewis Mayo, to join Championship clubs on loan in September.
Maxwell made three appearances in the League Cup last month but his Championship season got off to a nightmare start when he was sent off for two bookable offences on the opening day at Ayr United.
He returned to the team at Dunfermline last weekend as QoS lost their third consecutive league fixture, but they finally got off the mark on Saturday afternoon thanks to the Rangers loanee’s first senior goal.
The Scotland U19 international put his side ahead in the 32nd minute when he fired a left-footed strike from inside the area into the top left corner.
Arbroath were also stuck on zero points heading into the fixture but the visitors weren’t able to prevent an equaliser, with Bobby Linn netting for the hosts shortly after the interval.
Maxwell, who clearly isn’t afraid to put his foot in, was then booked for a foul on the home side’s goalscorer in the 61st minute.
QoS managed to hold on for a draw, though, and the Gers youngster will no doubt be delighted to get off the mark for his adopted side.
