Greg Docherty grabbed an assist, but Shrewsbury Town suffered a major setback in League One on Tuesday evening.
They travelled to Bradford City, after almost pulling off a major FA Cup shock at the weekend.
Rangers loanee, Docherty, scored an excellent goal to open the scoring against Wolves and was involved once again from the start last night.
It was his 25th league appearances of the season and it didn’t take him long to register an assist. He set up striker Fejiri Okenabirhie in the 27th minute.
After falling 3-1 behind, Okenabirhie scored twice more to bring the visitors back on level terms. Converting a 92nd spot kick seemed to have ensured a vital point for the Shrews.
Yet, Bradford’s David Ball had other ideas.
His 96th minute strike dealt a cruel blow to Docherty and his adopted side.
Relegation scrap now a reality
This defeat ensures that Sam Ricketts’ team are now in a relegation battle.

They may only be 19th in the table, but they are one of four clubs locked on 31 points.
Of that group, Bradford and Rochdale have the poorest goal difference, so they fill the last two relegation spots.
Obviously, there’s still a long way to go in the season.
This will be a wake up call for Shrewsbury, though.
Their FA Cup run has shown they are capable of special performances and Docherty has consistently risen to the challenge against some top midfielders.
However, consistently poor returns in the league mean they are being sucked into a dogfight.
