Rangers have been linked with a €6-9m move for Clermont’s Austrian striker Adrian Grbic, according to a leading freelance sports journalist.

Robin Bairner is claiming that the Ibrox side is interested in moving for the Ligue 2 forward, who has currently scored 17 goals for the mid-table side.

Bairner claims that Rangers will have to rival the likes of old European foes Marseille for the signing of the highly-rated 23-year-old.

French giants Marseille might not even be the only team Rangers will have to rival should they be interested in procuring the services of the Austrian forward.

According to a report on TEAMtalk, Rangers would also be rivalled by Old Firm rivals Celtic and Premier League outfits Crystal Palace and Brighton for the striker’s signature.

Come the end of the current season, the striker has two years remaining on his contract in France with reports suggesting Clermont may well be interested in cashing in on the player.

The news that Rangers are reportedly tracking the exciting Ligue 2 striker comes amid reports that Alfredo Morelos is being tracked by some of the biggest clubs in Europe [Goal.com].

Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Inter Milan and Leicester City top the list of suitors reportedly tailing the firebrand Colombian forward.

Those reports suggest that the bidding for Morelos will start at €15m but Rangers could value the striker anywhere up to €40m.
