Rangers-linked Norwich City star Todd Cantwell has been spotted in Spain as the midfielder takes in Barcelona amid links to Ibrox.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been extensively linked with a move to Govan this January amid early reports that the player was in Glasgow preparing to undergo a medical at Ibrox [Vital Rangers].

However, Rangers fans were then disappointed to read that Todd Cantwell is yet to be the subject of any official Ibrox bid with Norwich already turning down an offer from an unnamed English Championship side [Sky Sports].
Out of contract in the summer, the player is free to negotiate a deal with Rangers, or anyone else for that matter, but if Cantwell wants to move this month it’s clear Norwich City will need to be suitably recompensed.
It’s presented some doubt regarding a move and now the midfielder has been spotted visiting Barcelona on his official Instagram account as he takes in the famous Camp Nou.
Whilst we cannot confirm that the image was taken on the day, on the 10th of January Todd Cantwell uploaded an image of himself alongside Barcelona legend Lionel Messi with the word “GOAT” from within the stadium.
Todd Cantwell out of Norwich picture amid Rangers links
Left out of Norwich City’s squad for the weekend’s FA Cup defeat to Blackburn Rovers, Cantwell appears well out of the picture at Carrow Road and a mid-week trip to Spain would appear to confirm it.
Rangers manager Michael Beale has previously discussed the links to the player and Todd Cantwell certainly appears someone the Ibrox gaffer is a fan of.
“Todd was an excellent player when he was young and playing against my Liverpool Under 23s,” said Michael Beale [Rangers].
“I thought he would go on and have a fantastic career. He had that at the start and he is maybe just looking for a move to re-ingite it but I think he is a fantastic player at a good age.”
Meanwhile, Rangers are said to be rivalling several clubs in the hunt a World Cup star.
