Rangers-linked Peterborough forward Siriki Dembele has handed in a transfer request at the English League One club as talk heats up about the player’s future.
Posh director Barry Fry claimed last month that the Gers had been to watch Siriki – who is the brother of apparent Celtic wonderkid Karamoko – at least twice.

This comes with the likes of Old Firm rivals Celtic, Championship Stoke and Premier League Newcastle and Fulham also linked to the player [Peterborough Telegraph].
As a result, Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has admitted that the player, 24, handed in a transfer request over the weekend and blamed Dembele’s agent for the move.
“I woke up to the transfer request from Siriki. We received it over the weekend and we weren’t expecting it,” said MacAnthony [Scottish Sun].
“Every player in League One is for sale, but only at the right price. Siriki won’t be going anywhere unless we receive an acceptable offer.
“It is what it is. We need to just get on with things and the player just needs to get on with playing.
“His agent will be behind this. It’s what they do, but I have no idea why players go along with it.”
Dembele has 18 months left on his current deal and has also been watched by Scotland for the national team, although the player also qualifies for England and the Ivory Coast.

The Peterborough Telegraph report had originally claimed the Posh would want at least £2m for the player’s services but MacAnthony has since laughed those claims off.
The outspoken chairman claimed that he found the suggestion the player could leave for that amount “really funny”.
