With Rangers-linked Northern Irish side Linfield standing on the verge of European history this week, the Ibrox club’s match with Legia won’t be the only European game they’ll have an eye on.
The world’s second most successful club and historical ally of the Ibrox side lead Azerbaijani champions Qarabag 3-2 going into their second-leg in Baku.
Should Linfield make it they’ll be the first Northern Irish league side to make the Europa League group stages.
It would be a historic achievement for a Northern Irish football club both culturally and financially – and Rangers fans will be singing their Belfast brothers on.
Their second-leg tie in Baku kicks off at 5 pm on Thursday (29th) as they vie for a place in Northern Irish and European footballing history.
It is being streamed live on BBC Northern Ireland if anyone would like to watch it.
The 3-2 lead comes after a spirited display in Belfast last week.
Despite early Qarabag pressure, and going behind in the 15th minutes, the relative minnows battled back to shock the Azerbaijanis.
Mark Stafford had the Blues level five minutes before half-time before Sean Lavery put them in front in stoppage time at the end of the first half.

Lavery would then score his second to put Linfield 3-1 ahead with 15 minutes go, but the Belfast side lost a penalty in the dying stages which Magaye Gueye duly converted.
It means that this one is on a serious knife-edge going into the second leg – and they’ll need all the support they can get!
Rangers fans will be hoping their side have enough to overcome Legia Warsaw following last week’s 0-0 draw in Poland. Here’s our predicted XI for the match.
