Hull City manager Grant McCann has expressed an interest in signing Herbie Kane, as quoted by Hull Live.
The 20-year-old is a Liverpool youth academy graduate who is said to be on Steven Gerrard’s radar.

Three separate reports from Football Insider, The72.co.uk and
Kane spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Doncaster Rovers in League One. He impressed there, scoring four times and notching seven assists in 40 EFL appearances.
McCann managed the youngster at Donny but has since taken over the reins at Hull. Now, he hopes to tempt the player to the Championship.
“Herbie’s top class, he really is,” said McCann, as quoted by Hull Live. “He’s a Liverpool player. He will be going out on loan, I know that for sure.”
“Would we like him? Yes. Could we get him? I’m not sure. He’s a player we definitely like. I would hope (working with him last season) would put us in the driving seat a little bit but there’s some big clubs in for him. We’ll have to wait and see.”

Rangers-linked Herbie Kane in demand
Given the multiple separate reports linking Kane with the Gers, it looks as though there’s solid interest from Ibrox.
If that is indeed the case, McCann’s desire to reunite with the player isn’t ideal.
However, the ex-Northern Ireland international doesn’t exactly sound confident of securing him. Perhaps that’s because of the competition from Rangers.
He knows that with European football, the Gers offer something he can’t.
McCann does seem certain a loan of some kind is in the offing for Kane, so perhaps we’ll see some movement either way on this over the coming days.
