Rangers-linked Gustavo Hamer who plays for Coventry City is attracting interest from Premier League side Leeds Utd, with Brentford and Norwich City all keeping tabs on the player, according to Football League World.
Hamer has been starring in the English Championship this season for Coventry, scoring twice and providing a further six assists as the side sits just three points off a playoff spot.
With the midfielder’s contract set to expire next summer, then Rangers could possibly bring him in for a decent fee as van Bronckhorst will be aiming to strengthen his squad.
Gustavo Hamer is attracting interest from Leeds Utd despite Rangers links
Leeds Utd has recently parted company with the popular figure of Marcelo Bielsa and Jesse Marsch has taken over the Premier League side from the likeably Argentinean.
Hamer would add some much-needed steel into the Rangers midfield, with questions being asked of players such as Glen Kamara recently following poor performances.
Much will be riding on whether Rangers win the league and qualify for the Champions League group stages as this will allow the Ibrox side to entice better players to join the club.
With Leeds currently involved in a relegation battle, then a decision might be easier than anticipated for Hamer, although the Gers will face a tough task trying to sign the Dutchman.
Gio will ultimately try and add his own players into the playing squad, and this will mean there will be a fair amount of outgoings. Certain faces just haven’t seemed to fit and getting these players off the wage bill whilst securing decent fees will be a huge advantage in the pursuit of other targets.
The summer transfer window is sure to be an interesting one.
