Former Rangers coach Michael Beale has moved to clarify comments he made regarding the vacant Aston Villa post after the QPR boss was linked with a move to Birmingham.
Ex-Gers man Beale was immediately linked to the Aston Villa post following the sacking of Steven Gerrard with the coach the Scouser’s former number two in Birmingham.
This came after Michael Beale had reiterated his commitment to QPR amid links to Wolves, with the Premier League outfit making an official approach for the manager.
In his first management role at Loftus Road, the talented young coach has already guided the Rs to the top of the Championship table.
When pressed on the job at Villa Park, Michael Beale claimed there was “no chance” he’d replace Gerrard at the Villains, reiterating his commitment to the former Rangers manager.
“No chance. Great club, great history, great people, good people behind the scenes,” said Beale.
“They’ve had two outstanding managers in the last two years and for whatever reason it hasn’t worked out so they may have to look at the way the club is run or the model. Is the recruitment all in line?
“There’s a lot of good people behind the scenes that have got a lot of despair at the moment.
“I feel for the fans because it’s a wonderful football club, but no, I gave my commitment here the other day. There’s certainly no interest on my part.
“A few of my friends have lost their jobs in the last few days and obviously my loyalty is to that friendship.”

However, Michael Beale has now moved to clarify those comments to ensure no disrespect on his part towads the Aston Villa coaching team or the club.
It’s another classy touch from the likeable former Rangers coach who continues to win fans outside of Ibrox and QPR for his approach to club management.
“To clarify, AVFC is a wonderful club, I enjoyed my time there & wish them every success in the future,” tweeted Beale.
“The players/staff were a pleasure to work with. The ‘no chance’ comment was in reference to my commitment to QPR and was in no way being disrespectful to anyone at Villa Park.”
