Rangers legend, Nacho Novo, has given his verdict on the big talking point of the weekend, as quoted by the Evening Times.
With time up at the end of the first half, Alfredo Morelos and Kirk Broadfoot clashed.
Footage that emerged over the weekend, appears to show why.
The former Rangers defender walks after the current Ibrox favourite and looks to rake his studs down Morelos’ achilles.
It was grim to watch and has been condemned by fans and pundits alike, since.
“That’s been planned”, said Novo of the incident, as quoted by

“Kirk knows how to wind people up and that’s what it’s all about.”
“Players are going to target strong personalities and wait for a reaction. Everyone wants to win a game and if you can get rid of the other team’s top goalscorer it’s a big help.”
Clearly, Novo wasn’t overly perturbed by the footage of the incident.
Morelos’ hot-headed reputation goes before him now. Therefore, as the ex-Ger says, it’s understandable that opposition players are looking to rile him up.
Yet, there’s a difference between the odd word here and there and what Broadfoot did.
If that sort of act were to be taken as acceptable, where do we draw the line?
Whether he picks up a retrospective ban or not, he looks to have done irreversible damage to his reputation.
