Rangers legend Barry Ferguson has revealed that he’ll be inviting Alloa Athletic fans into his office this week after a run-in with some of their supporters over the weekend.
Barry took charge of the League One side in the summer and has gone on to have an up-and-down start at the helm of the Wasps.

Alloa currently sit 5th in League One after their relegation from the Championship last season, five points behind current leaders Queen’s Park.
The ex-Ibrox skipper – who bemoans a culture of negativity surrounding the club – would then confront angry fans following the 1-1 draw with Dumbarton at the weekend.
The moment was snapped by fans at the game and since then Ferguson has gone on to explain the reasoning behind his frustration.
Rangers legend Barry also revealed that he’ll be inviting supporters into his office to discuss his vision for the club and any issues they’ve been facing.
“It was all just a bit negative. I went over to ask him why. I wear my heart on my sleeve – I’ll stick up for myself and my players,” said Ferguson [GO Radio Football Show].
“I had a few things to say, they had a few things to say back. I went in to speak to the players about it. They’ve been speaking it about things coming from the stands for more than the last few weeks.
“I’m all for criticism as long as it’s constructive – I just feel some of it hasn’t been.
“I had a good chat with some of the fans outside of the stadium after the game.

“I said to them ‘My door is always open if you want to come in and see me.’ Hopefully they can come in tomorrow night and we can talk things through.
“I think that’s the way it’s got to be done. As men, eye-to-eye.
“I respect them because they pay money and travel. We need to get a good connection between the fans and the players though.
“It’s just a small minority. Maybe they were just frustrated. We were good first half, we went 1-0 up but we weren’t so good in the second. I totally understand that.
“I think there’s just too much negativity going about at times.”
Rangers legend Ferguson joined Alloa after helping Kelty Hearts to promotion into the SPFL from the Lowland League.
Some Rangers fans were also frustrated with Ferguson’s decision to move to Alloa after a series of Ibrox run-ins with the club’s chairman.
