Barry Ferguson has issued his verdict on the Scottish Premiership title as Rangers, Celtic and Hearts are all in the title race.

Currently, Hearts are in the driver’s seat as they are three points clear atop the Scottish Premiership table.

However, Rangers have the chance to go top if they manage to beat Dundee United at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

Danny Rohl has lost just one league game as Rangers manager…

If YOU were to change one thing about his management style for next season, what would it be? 🤔

Barry Ferguson unwilling to write off Celtic in title race

Ferguson undoubtedly would want Rangers to win the title, but is refusing to call it at this stage.

He was even unwilling to write off Celtic despite them being five points behind the league leaders.

Should Hearts win on Sunday, momentarily, they will be eight points clear of the Hoops, which is a huge psychological blow for the defending champions.

That said, Ferguson admits that Hearts and Rangers would have to collapse for the Parkhead outfit to win the title.

He told the Daily Record: “I’m not going to sit here and write them off. No way am I writing them off yet.

“They’ve got a guy in the game a long time and knows the game inside out and they’ve still got players that can hurt you.

“I think I’d be a fool to write Celtic off.

“It’s difficult. Rangers and Hearts would have to go on a horrendous run.”

What do Rangers need to do to win the Scottish Premiership title

Things are in Rangers’ hands as they can win their remaining fixtures and their goal difference is likely to get them over the line.

However, they have shown to be extremely wasteful in the final third in recent weeks and that cannot be attributed to Danny Rohl.

The attacking players have to take more responsibility in order to get the team over the line in the next few weeks.

Ryan Naderi and Youssef Chermiti have both shown glimpses of their brilliance, but they have to deliver consistently.

Hopefully, Rohl has managed to work harder with the players who stayed back during the international break, as he would want to fine-tune a few things.

It will be interesting to see what the response is like in the game against Dundee United.
