Rangers have launched a special new Soccer Schools partnership with a Canadian performances coaching group.
The three-year partnership was signed in agreement with Ian McClurg Learn Perform Coaching. It will consist of special camps, tours and coach education activities in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada.
Rangers aim to use the group to both scout for the finest North American talent and gain a foothold in North America. It’s yet another exciting move for the club in global football.

“Canada has become a key market for the International Soccer Schools and there have been a number of key factors, such as the announcement that Canada will be one of the three countries to host the 2026 World Cup,” said Rangers’ International Soccer Schools Executive, Gary Crooks [Rangers.co.uk]
“Also, the change in their youth academy structure has seen a real appetite for local clubs to develop their programs and use our expertise for the years to come.”

The programme follows on from two other recently launched Soccer Schools programmes. Rangers set up a Soccer School in the Far East, as Mark Hateley attended one of the club’s new Schools in Shanghai.

Rangers have also announced plans to run a Soccer School closer to home too. The club will be setting up in Stornoway for a period over the summer.
This move into the Canadian market is just further example of Rangers growing scouting network across the globe.
