Derek Cornelius has been out of action for Rangers since November due to injury.
The 28-year-old, who is on loan from Marseille, has made just 12 appearances for the Ibrox outfit since his summer move.
While he is returning to full fitness, it may be a while before he can play the full 90 minutes again.

Doctor reacts as Derek Cornelius returns to training for Rangers
Danny Rohl confirmed last week that the Canada international had returned to training after his injury lay-off.
Cornelius even required surgery in late November for a significant muscle injury, and that delayed his return to training.
Reacting to this development, injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar claims that he will be monitored in full training for around two weeks before a decision can be made on his return to action.

However, he will not be ready to play the full 90 minutes right away, and it may take longer for that to happen.
Speaking exclusively to Rangers News, the sports scientist said: “The manager stated that his timeline would be late January, maybe longer, after needing surgery, so this return to training seems to align with that.
“After an extended hiatus, imagine they will want to see full training for seven to 10 days and then multiple bounce matches, so it could be weeks before he’s back to playing the full 90 minutes in games.”

Will Rangers sign Cornelius permanently at the end of the season?
Gers’ deal to sign Cornelius included an option to buy, which they will consider exercising come the end of the season.
Should he return to action imminently and instantly have an impact on the first team, Rohl would certainly urge the board to make it permanent.
The 28-year-old is a left-footed centre-back capable of playing at left-back, and it is evident that he is a good fit for Scottish football.
It is unlikely that fans would have a problem either, as he would add strength in depth.
