Rangers star Ianis Hagi is recovering from a cruciate ligament injury quicker than expected – and could be back in time for the Europa League final.
That’s according to the attacking midfielder’s father, Gheorghe who claims the Ibrox star is bouncing back from the devastating blow at impressive speed.

Rangers will need to get past Braga in the Europa League quarter finals first with RB Leipzig or Atalanta lying in wait for the winners.
But Gheorghe Hagi has expressed optimism that Rangers can make the Final with son Ianis determined to recover in time.
“After eliminating Dortmund, Rangers have a very good chance. I see the same run as we had with Galatasaray,” said Gheorghe [Sport Arena].
“It’s the fourth year since Gerrard has built a very good, winning team that has never lost in the league. After that, in Europe the wins didn’t come, but now I see that this year they have continuity and very good results.
“If they got past Dortmund, they have the ability to play in the final. Ianis told me that he will play the Final. There are still two strong teams, Barcelona and Lyon, who are on the other side.”
Ianis Hagi back on the ball for Rangers
The comments come after Ianis Hagi even shared an update of himself doing ball work to Rangers fans on social media.
Last season’s Young Player of the Year, there’s no doubt losing Ianis has been a big blow for the club with the playmaker the Gers’ top assister in the Premiership last season.
Alongside an injury to Alfredo Morelos, losing the Gers duo could have a devastating impact on the club’s season.
Meanwhile, Rangers have been caught sleeping as an Ibrox director comes under scrutiny and Celtic invest £25m.
