Rangers hero Connor Goldson has received some deserved recognition for his exploits on Sunday.

It’s essentially down to Goldson that Rangers emerged from their Rugby Park opener victorious, with his injury-time header earning him major praise from Bears on social media.
All the off-field fallout from Sunday has taken the attention off the result a little. Therefore, it’s good to see the senior man receive some recognition.

Overall, it was a scrappy performance from the Gers. Consequently, the vice-captain is the only Light Blue inclusion in the XI.
Alongside him, there are three players from Aberdeen, three from Celtic, two from Hibernian and one apiece from Motherwell and Ross County.
The two Hibs representatives, Steven Whittaker and Scott Allan are set to be in action at Ibrox next week.

The Edinburgh outfit travel to Glasgow on Sunday on the back of a 1-0 opening day win over St Mirren.

After investing in several forward-thinking players this summer, Steven Gerrard will be hoping he doesn’t have to rely on his central defender to pull another late rabbit out of the hat.
A well-deserved inclusion for Goldson this week, though, and a good individual start to the season for the 26-year-old.
