Football fans across the UK have raved about Rangers hero Ally McCoist’s co-commentary after he worked alongside Clive Tyldesley on a Euro 2020 Group C match between the Netherlands and Ukraine.

Rangers’ all-time record goalscorer is naturally extremely popular with the club’s fan base but it isn’t just Bears who find him to be a brilliant listen.

McCoist received a lot of praise from fans of English clubs when working for Amazon Prime on their Premier League coverage last season and his stock is rising even further now the Euros are underway.

In an era where there seems to be more poor quality co-commentators than impressive ones, McCoist’s lively, enthusiastic tone and impressive knowledge sets him apart.

Tyldesley, who did a lot of work with RangersTV last season, also continues to be popular as a main commentator, despite being demoted by ITV last year.

The duo teamed up for the Netherlands vs Ukraine in Amsterdam on Sunday night and viewers loved how they called what was the best game of the tournament so far, with the hosts emerging 3-2 winners following a late Denzel Dumfries header.
