As Rangers crashed out of the Scottish Cup courtesy of a 1-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle, most Bears won’t deny the Ibrox side deserved nothing from their trip across the M8.
Even if referee Steven McLean put in a refereeing performance up there with the worst we’ve seen in Scotland this season.
And that is really saying something.

The Scottish whistler failed to award Hearts a penalty when George Edmundson blatantly hand-balled it towards the end of the first half.
Even more bizarrely, Hearts defender Loïc Damour would then force the ball into the net with both hands from the resultant corner.
Damour would then try and claim a goal but avoid a yellow card for deliberate handball when the goal was overturned.
Damour was on a yellow card at the time and would’ve seen red. McLean should’ve flashed it but appeared to bottle making the decision.
Perhaps something to do with the fact he bottled giving the penalty for the George Edmundson hand-ball just moments previously.
McLean’s awful refereeing performance wasn’t just limited to the big decisions either.

The referee looked genuinely incapable of managing the match, blowing up nonsense free-kicks and getting minor decisions wrong for both sides.
McLean has come under fire from all sides on Twitter during and after the match:
