Rangers could be set for a potential boost ahead of the Scottish Premiership clash against St Johnstone on Wednesday evening, as Ibrox-linked Zander Clark [TheScotsman] could miss out with injury.
Clark has missed the previous two matches against Hearts and Ross County since going off against Aberdeen with a calf injury.

The keeper has been arguably the Saint’s best player this campaign in what has been a massive anti-climax following their incredible double success last season.
Despite this, we know they could give Gers plenty of problems, especially with an out-of-form backline, and having Clark miss the match would be great news for Morelos and co.
Zander Clark could be missing for St Johnstone for the Rangers clash
With Allan McGregor looking increasingly likely to leave Rangers at the end of the season, the search is on for another goalkeeper who could command the number 1 jersey.
Clark certainly fits the bill having impressed for the Saints, especially during last season when he had a hand in the equaliser in the last minute of extra time in the Scottish Cup quarter-final before producing two penalty saves to deny Rangers a spot in the last four.
With interest in other goalkeepers mounting, such as Dundee Utd’s Benjamin Siegrist [Courier], then Clark will be aiming to get back to full fitness as soon as possible.
With the 29-year-olds contract expiring at the end of the season, the Ibrox side could secure him to a deal before the summer and plan ahead for next season.

The final few months of this campaign could be pivotal for both Rangers and Clark and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
In other news, former Rangers coach Michael Beale has praised unsung hero Andy Firth as he played a vital role in the title triumph last year.
