Rangers have scored an off-field victory over Celtic ahead of the third Old Firm of the season after recording vastly superior social media stats.
Twitter and Instagram have been awash with 55-related content ever since the Premiership win was confirmed on 7th March.
However, according to established Twitter account Deportes&Finanzas, Bears were dominating Scottish football social media well before the title was secured.
They assert that with a whopping 5.17m, Rangers had, by some distance, the highest engagement stats of any Scottish club in the month of February.
That’s over three times the number recorded by Celtic, who only managed 1.69m.
It’s a big victory for the media team at Rangers and it shows that the strides made by the club in recent times haven’t just been on the pitch.
If the margin of victory was this wide in February, one can only imagine the gulf between the Old Firm in March’s figures, with Rangers’ title content up against Celtic’s constant stream of happy birthday messages.

The off-field victory comes in what is a big week for the Gers.
Steven Gerrard’s side are aiming to go a step further than last season in the Europa League as they take on Slavia Prague at Ibrox on Thursday night for a place in the quarter-finals, before travelling to Celtic Park at the weekend in search of a third Old Firm victory of the season.
An experienced referee will be in charge of Sunday’s clash.
