Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara is in fine form at the moment and it hasn’t gone unrecognised by clubs in the English Premier League.
Gers boss Steven Gerrard admitted that clubs have come to watch [Scotsman] the intelligent, technical midfielder who Rangers signed for a snip at a reported £50k in January.
But by the Finnish international’s own admission it’s the influence of another player Rangers signed in the same month which has helped bring Kamara’s game to another level.
“Steven [Davis] has been great for me,” said Kamara [Daily Record].
“You learn a lot from just watching him in training or games.
“His experience, movement and intelligence are all there for all to see. He has been great since he came into the club and the good thing is he is so experienced having played at the top level.”
For a young midfielder learning his trade, Kamara isn’t exactly in the worst possible place.
Under the tutelage of midfield icons Steven Gerrard and Gary McAllister, Kamara is beginning to flourish in this Rangers side after a tricky few months at the start of the season.
He has lauded Gerrard for the work he’s done with him over the last period.
“The manager has been massive for me and the whole team,” said Kamara.
“He has helped us all collectively and he has also really helped me individually as well.
“He has me working on a few things in training and just wants me to express myself more.
“The boss wants me to get on the ball, influence the games and have more belief in myself.
“He has given me the confidence to go out and play.”
Going by the former Arsenal Academy player’s comments, it doesn’t appear like Kamara is in a rush to go anywhere.
In fact, the 24-year-old appears happier than ever to be plying his trade alongside the trio of legendary midfielders at the club in Davis, Gerrard and McAllister.
