Former Rangers player, Bruno Alves, is in the frame for a shock transfer, according to an Italian Sky Sport reporter.
Alves was brought to Ibrox by Pedro Caixinha at the start of last season and was a marquee signing.

With nearly 100 caps for his country and league titles in Portugal, Russia and Turkey, Rangers seemed to have strengthened considerably.
However, it never really worked out.
Alves struggled with injury across the season and aged 36 at the time, looked past his best.

However, he has experienced something of a renaissance since leaving for Parma Calcio.
He is club captain of the Serie A side, who have done well since gaining promotion last campaign. They currently sit ninth, just a handful of points behind Lazio and Roma.

Now, with Juventus defender Medhi Benatia reportedly on his way out of the club, Alves’ name has been mentioned as a possible replacement.

The reporter, Gianluca Di Marzio, claims Juventus are looking for an experienced player who can slot in immediately.
Martin Caceres, Branislav Ivanovic and Martin Skrtel are all touted as potential arrivals.

However, while he recognises that Parma will be reluctant to sell, the Journalist mentions Ronaldo’s closeness with Alves as a possible clincher for the big centre-back.
Clearly, this is just an individual report at the minute.
Yet, what a sensational turnaround it would be.

Russell Martin kept Alves out of the side at Ibrox, but now plies his trade in League One with MK Dons.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese could be off to the European heavyweights, who boast seven consecutive Serie A titles.
