Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to warn Premier League giants Liverpool off of Ibrox gaffer Steven Gerrard after Jurgen Klopp’s side fell to a shock defeat this week.
The German’s side fell to a 1-0 home defeat to Burnley at Anfield in a result which leaves them six points off surprise league leaders and arch-rivals Manchester United.

This was the club’s first home defeat in over three-and-a-half years and it has some worried that it’s the end of an era at Anfield.
Liverpool are obviously the reigning Champions and have won the Champions League within the last two years but that hasn’t stopped Gers fans worrying over Klopp’s future.
Football is a cutthroat business and when results start to turn, heads begin to roll and Gers fans are very wary of losing their manager to his first love Liverpool.
Liverpool have toiled following a long-term injury to star centre-back Virgil van Dijk who hasn’t featured since suffering a serious knee injury in October.

Despite dominating the match against Sean Dyche’s side for large periods, Liverpool fell to a 1-0 defeat courtesy of an Ashley Barnes penalty.
Rangers boss Gerrard and Liverpool boss Klopp both signed contract extensions on the same day last season with both managers tied to their respective clubs until 2024.
Gers fans are hoping that Gerrard is at Ibrox until then at the very least as they took to Twitter to warn the Reds off a return for their prodigal son:
Liverpool, yer no getting Gerrard before May.

I can’t see Gerrard leaving us until the Liverpool job comes up. I wouldn’t imagine he would take another prem job or go abroad

Wouldn’t be surprised if Steven Gerrard wraps up the league up here by middle of February then leaves and goes to Liverpool and wins the league for them this season as well. They need him x

Stay away from Gerrard until he wins Rangers the league and takes us a little further in Europe. Cheers 👍🏻 😉

Liverpool keep playing the way they have lately and I wouldn’t be surprised if they come knocking on our door to sound out STEVIE G

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard will go down in Ibrox folklore if he can lead the club to a first title in a decade with the Gers odds on to complete the feat this season.
Even the most apprehensive amongst us must admit that on current form, there is only going to be one team crowned the Champions come May.
