Rangers fans have been urged to read official supporter information ahead of Sunday afternoon’s clash against Hearts at Ibrox.

Released on the club website [Rangers.co.uk] and subsequently shared by the Gers SLO on Twitter, the notice warns of  ‘major traffic issues’ both before and after the game.

“Due to ongoing works, Scottish Water is closing Paisley Road West between Broomloan Road and Helen Street.  Unfortunately, this cannot be suspended,” read a statement.

Supporters have been encouraged to aim to arrive earlier than usual, or to use public transport in order to help ‘mitigate this situation.’

Traffic can be a problem on any given matchday, but this road closure threatens to cause chaos.

Even if some supporters heed the warning and opt for the Subway, that could present its own challenges, given that there are already huge queues for the service following games.

Hopefully, some of the frustration that’s bound to be felt by Bears will be offset by three points on the pitch.

Rangers will fancy their chances against the still managerless Hearts side they defeated in the League Cup semi-final just a few weeks ago, with three points guaranteed to keep them at least level on points with Celtic at the top of the table.
