It’s not happening in front of goal at present for under-fire Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos and a frustrating afternoon in Dundee summed up what’s been a difficult period for the forward.
Morelos has three goals in twelve Scottish Premiership games this season, scoring twice against St. Mirren and once against Hibernian.
Whilst his role has evolved and the striker is dropping deeper to create space in behind defences there can be no denying that the forward is out of sorts in front of goal.
But after snatching at his chances in the 2-1 win over Dundee United, Morelos took to Instagram to show fans that no-one knows this better than himself.
Translated into English, the post reads:
“BE STRONG BECAUSE THINGS WILL GET BETTER, MAYBE THERE IS A STORM NOW, BUT THE RAIN DOES NOT LAST FOREVER”
Alfredo, 24, has been such a talismanic figure for this Rangers side over the last three seasons the fact he isn’t firing is something which should worry every other team in Scotland.
Rangers are unbeaten in 27 and are currently 13 points clear in the Scottish Premiership – even without their Colombian firebrand on song.
Morelos has been criticised in some quarters for a petulant lash-out on Dundee United defender Mark Connolly during the Tannadice win but Rangers fans once again rounded to support the striker.

Rangers fans are very protective over their talismanic forward with the forearm incident providing plenty of ammunition for the usual detractors in the press.
But with Morelos out of sorts and out of form, is it time to hand a £2.7m summer signing the chance to lead the line whilst Alfredo gets his head in the game?
