Rangers and Celtic’s rivalry is one that needs no introduction but for one tourist – or perhaps troll – it seems he was blissfully unaware as he was photographed on the Ibrox Stadium tour wearing a Celtic shirt.
The photo emerged on Twitter on Friday morning, leaving Gers fans bewildered and wondering what was going on as they continue to pore over the reports HMRC made a ‘miscalculation’ in the Big Tax Case.
So when photos appeared on Twitter, it felt like we were right back into the Twilight Zone – and leading to lots of swearing – at the unidentified fan in the Callum McGregor shirt.
There’s likely some innocent explanation as to why he’s decided to do the Ibrox tour wearing a Celtic shirt but many Rangers fans were quick to guess that he was another one of the ‘obsessesed.’
If he is just a tourist, at least he got to see the best stadium in the Glasgow – and Scotland – although if he plans on attending tomorrow’s Colts clash with Wrexham then he better find a different t-shirt.
Fans at least saw the funny side of it, mainly, with one saying it was on “another level” – although to give him his due, it is a pretty ballsy move to wear a Celtic shirt on the tour.
