Rangers are famed for their vocal travelling fans across Europe, and Berne will see why soon enough.
The Ibrox club’s legion of fans always Follow, Follow in their numbers no matter where they go.
And despite the Ibrox club refusing an allocation against Swiss outfit BSC Young Boys in the upcoming Europa League tie in Berne, you can still bet there will be Rangers fans there.
Rangers refused the ticket allocation in a show of goodwill to UEFA [Rangers.co.uk] after a second sectarian chanting rap in the Europa League qualifiers.
The first lead to a section of Ibrox being shut [Rangers.co.uk]. Had Rangers not done this, the second could well have seen the entire stadium closed.
As it was Rangers suffered partial stadium closures against Legia and Feyenoord – although it did little to dampen the atmosphere – and won’t have a sizeable away support in Switzerland.
But loyal Rangers fans are still more than prepared to take the trip and their chances as they look to secure tickets for the match in Berne in the home end.
Whilst you need a European address to buy tickets outright, many fans have found ways around the system and have even bought tickets from online touts or in hospitality.
So whilst Rangers might’ve refused the official ticket allocation from UEFA, it doesn’t necessarily mean there will no Rangers fans in Berne.
Wherever Rangers go, their loyal support will Follow On.
