Rangers fans have sent messages of support to Alfredo Morelos after his foundation announced the birth of his daughter.

The 23-year-old striker is back home in Columbia, where he has been busy carrying out charitable work in his community amid the global health crisis.

The latest news coming out of his Foundation isn’t about a project in Cerete, though.

On Wednesday, the Twitter account announced that the Rangers star had become a father.

“The Alfredo Morelos Foundation congratulates Alfredo Morelos and his wife Yesenia on the birth of their daughter,” read the tweet (translated).

The news was picked up by many delighted Bears, who sent congratulatory messages to the Ibrox hero.

As yet, it’s uncertain when Morelos will be required to return to Glasgow, with no plan set out regarding the resumption of football in Scotland.

Even though various leagues across Europe are gearing up to restart, it’s likely that the Premiership season will be declared at an end at some point in the next 10 days.
