Rangers fans send love to iconic figure after he melts their hearts

It’s difficult to remember any player in recent seasons who is more adored by the Rangers faithful than talismanic striker Alfredo Morelos.

The talented Colombian forward is the Ibrox side’s main man and this week he’s been opening up on everything from his disciplinary issues to the unacceptable abuse he receives from the stands.

During the exclusive interview with Sky Sports, the feisty striker also had a message for the Rangers fans who’ve supported him all season.

The striker has had a tumultuous few months and despite an immense first half of the season is still feeling the effects of a lapse in concentration at the end of the year.

Morelos was sent off against Motherwell for gesturing to the opposition fans whilst the striker also saw a second yellow for diving in the final moments of the 2-1 win over Celtic.

It means the striker has missed a lot of football in the last few months and looked decidedly rusty as he returned to the action in the 0-0 draw with Aberdeen.

The club need a fully fit and focused Alfredo Morelos confident and firing as the club look to haul back a considerable gap between Rangers and Celtic.

But his role, and goals, at Ibrox mean that all this has done little to dampen the adoration he receives from the Ibrox legions.
